Freeride / All Around Performance Boards
Crazyfly Raptor LTD and LTD Neon
What we have to say about the Raptor LTD: The Flagship board in the Crazyfly line up, the 2023 Raptor LTD and LTD Neon are quite possibly the best kiteboards that Crazyfly has ever made. The LTD is a full carbon board that has great strength but is lighter than most other boards on the market. The shape, outline and rails of this board have been refined over the years to create an exquisite ride that is hard to beat. The board is not just a joy to ride, it also has a ton of load and pop due to the carbon lay up and the flex pattern built into the board. Whether you are cruising around the bay or boosting big air, the Crazyfly Raptor LTD will meet all your needs and look amazing doing it! |
|
Crazyfly Raptor
What we have say about the Raptor: The Raptor is still a rocket-ship for the speedsters out there who don't want something too testing for the knees. It is now easier and more fluid. It's light, but still a relatively firm ride in the freeride spectrum. That won't stop advanced riders being happy to shred all day long on it. The fins do a good job of making the Raptor feel quite maneuverable and responsive even through they are quite deep, due to the fact that they complement the board's rocker-line and shape. CF boards are always exceptional for build-quality. We're continually impressed |
|
Crazyfly Acton
What we have to say about the Acton: The Acton probably has the softest flex pattern of all the Crazyfly boards we tested which makes it incredibly forgiving and playful. With a fairly standard rocker, the Allround is very efficient in the water and felt fast upwind while the bottom concave and 5.0 fins gave it a solid amount of bite when tracking on edge, riding flat, or on rail-to-rail carves. The Acton really locks down an edge while loading giving this board great pop for an all around board. The Acton's construction is designed to fit a wide range of riders from beginner through to intermediate. |
|
Core Fusion 5
What we have to say about the Fusion 5: For a carbon board, there is a surprising amount of feeling under foot and it is not too abusive to your knees. It tracks easily through chop without slapping or spraying. The grip initiates turns and transitions very well, and there's enough pop behind your back foot for loading up. With all of that said, this board is not fatiguing at all. It is a very easy to ride board that won't hold you back from pushing your limits. The Fusion can also be used with boots as a great freestyle option. The tip flex would work well for freestyle and wakestyle. |
|
Ozone Code V3
What we have to say about the Ozone Code: The Code V3 is a performance freeride board with a rapid riding speed from the get-go. The board seems very solid and grips tight to the water. This speed and grip transfers to some effortless upwind riding, and we were pleased to find this in choppy wavy waters as well as the butter waters. Loading up the CodeV2 for some air time you will be surprised at the amount of speed and power it can deliver. It allows for some truly impressive boosts with great control. The board is lightweight enough to throw around during board-off tricks and even features a grab recess to help you keep hold of it. The progressive flex provides a stable platform to power you out of those sketchy landings. The Code V2 is fast, fun and a fantastic option for those riders who want only the best for their personal riding development. |
|
Duotone Select SLS
What we have to say about the Duotone Select: The Select SLS is Duotone's progressive freeride, all-around board. This board has a little softer flex pattern than the Jaime and features slightly pulled in tips that give it a really user-friendly and playful feel. The SLS is very light, incredibly durable, and noticeably smoother and more responsive this year .The Select will eat up any chop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Super soft on the knees for landing those big air jumps. If you're looking to push your limits hard then the Select SLS is a great choice for you. |
|

What we have to say about the North Prime: The Prime is an aggressive freeride board. In all wind and water conditions this board will aid in rapid skill development. It shreds upwind fast, and is splash-free through the chop. Jump and boost in full control, with forgiving landings thanks to the softer flex. |
|
Naish Motion
What we have to say about the Naish Motion: The Motion is a high performance freeride board that has a fairly lively flex pattern which makes for an easy load and pop and forgiving landings. It is a nice balance between a loose skate feel and locked in grippy upwind track feeling. We liked how the Motion turned and carved in and around small surf and chop. The Motion has some impressive pop when you load it up, and it responds well to more aggressive riding. The rocker gives you a locked in controlled feel when you come in fast from a big trick. |
Big Air Kites
North Orbit
What we have to say about the North Orbit: A King Of The Air title holder, the North Orbit has proven time and time again... It goes BIG! The Orbit is a purpose built big air kite that excels at big air with some great hang time. It's stability and ease of use make it a no brainer for anyone looking to go big. A favorite among the shop riders here, the Orbit is a great kite no matter what you want to do with it. |
|
Ozone Edge v12
What we have say about the Ozone Edge: The Ozone Edge is practically the gold standard that we measure other kites against for big air. The Edge flies forward in the window building apparent wind. When you send it, it hauls you up into the sky like an elevator. The Edge is stable and easy to fly and has more upwind drive than most other kites out there. The new v12 is a definite improvement over previous models with slightly less bar pressure and a quicker turning speed. This allows you to move the kite where you want it with less effort than ever before. If you are looking for a kite to use for a big air session, the Edge v12 is a winner. |
|
Duotone Rebel SLS
What we have say about the Duotone Rebel: Now with an SLS upgrade. The Rebel is still the most versatile kite in the big air category, now with a lighter frame. The Rebel is a great choice for anyone looking for a kite that excels at big air but is still a great kite for all around riding. With it's 5 strut design, The Rebel SLS is stable, fast, and will take the load of even the largest riders. With a great depower throw and linear power delivery, the Rebel makes switching between freeride and big air in the same session effortless. With the changes to the standard version, the Rebel is lighter in the air and has a more direct feel making it more easy to control on a lot of different conditions. While it comes as a standard 4 line kite, it can still of be converted to 5 line operation for anyone looking for the 5th line style. |
|

With a 3 year warranty, the Hyper also boosts above and beyond any other manufacturers warranty length. This only makes us feel better about choosing the Hyper. The Hyper flies as you would expect for a big air kite, it flies forward in the wind window allowing you to build great speed and upwind distance. When you send the kite for a jump, it sends you up the elevator and lets you down gently. With reduced weight and faster turning speeds for 2022, the Hyper is a great choice if you want to send it to the moon! |

What we have to say about the Core XR7: The Core XR7 is a brilliant big air kite. The XR series kites continue to hold the WOO height records for our shop riders. A step up from the previous version, the XR6, the XR7 has less bar pressure, a lighter feel in the air, and turns a bit quicker. This kite is not our first choice for freeride, but it works well for it. It performs best as a dedicated big air kite. |

What we have to say about the Slingshot Machine v2: The Machine is Slingshots dedicated big air monster. In these new generations of Slingshot kite technology, the rules have been rewritten |
Big Air Boards
Crazyfly Raptor Extreme
What we have to say about the Raptor Extreme: What can't be said about this board? It locks into the water and glides through the chop. I releases from the water like it was born to fly. This thing means big air business. When boosting as big as you can, you want a board that is going to drive upwind fast, lock in for precision, and release as if the water isn't even there. This board has it all. Definintely the shop favorite for big air. |
|
North Atmos Carbon
What we have say about the North Atmos Carbon: A big air board made for style. With characteristics of both freeride and freestyle boards, this board has a unique feel that can break boundaries. The carbon creates a responssive board with balanced flex and stiffness. This board has taken King of the Air by storm on more than one occasion. It's an experience you have to feel to believe. |
|
Naish Monarch
What we have to say about the Naish Monarch: With it's glass construction and the UD carbon strip, this board is really fun to ride if you're getting into big air for the first time. Really responsive and precise in the water, but just forgiving enough to help you progress. The construction of this board is heavily favoring durability, and can put up to the abuses of those hard and fast landings. Definitely a true progression board. |
|
Naish Drive
What we have to say about the Drive: Boy did this board blow us away. From the lightweight carbon construction, to the deck and channel design, to the rocker profile... This thing shreds. The first time riding this thing, you'll notice a super playful board that is just as fluid rail to rail as it is locking in for big boosts. The landings on this board feel like a dream, and are very forgiving. Definitely give this board a chance if you're looking to push your limits in freeride and big air. |
|
Slingshot Asylum
What we have to say about the Asylum: Grip and Pop are the name of the game when it compse to Slingshot and their Asylum. This thing locks in like its on rails and releases effortlessly. With the carbon stringer and bedrock inserts, it has a completely balanced feel under foot. Though a freestyle staple, this thing can boost, big time. |
Wave/Surf Kites
Ozone Reo
What we have to say about the Ozone Reo: The standard by which all Surf / Wave kites are measured. The Ozone Reo is the first kite our shop riders reach for when the waves start pumping. With the new variable geometry bridle, you can change the kites flight characteristics between on and off shore to finely tune the drift. When you sheet out, the Reo nearly disappears allowing you to ride the wave with no distraction while still maintaining good steering responsiveness. When you pull the bar in, the power is there and ready. The kite also turns lightning fast, and can seemingly pinwheel when looping, creating minimal downwind force. This allows you to also ride waves in a much more aggressive tone without getting pulled out of the wave. Whether you prefer to cruise or shred, this is the kite to take you to another level. With this kites exceptional drifting ability and power availability, it is also a good option for hydrofoiling. |
|
Duotone Neo - Standard, SLS, D/Lab
What we have say about the Duotone Neo: Now with 3 different construction styles for every budget, the Neo is getting serious. You can now chose from the standard dacron construction, the Penta TX SLS construction, or the newest D/Lab Aluula constroction... In every stage of the wind range, this kite is extremely well behaved, reacting to steering input instantly even when fully depowered. The world's most decorated wave kite, now has the Strong Light Superior treatment! SLS incorporates new materials and technologies across the Duotone range to create an even better performing product. Bar pressure is about medium on the Neo which allows you know where the kite is at all times. The turning response is instant. This kite goes where you want it to every time, and there are no nasty surprises of the kite drifting off course. The Neo is happy to float down the line in offshore conditions too. |
|
North Carve
What we have say about the North Carve: The drift of the Carve is impressive. The short depower throw allows you to dump power quickly, but be sure to maintain some backline tension to ensure the kite stays stable and does not back stall. It has a quick and responsive turning speed that delivers a consistent pull. Trimmed correctly, the Carve can hold equal power in every position throughout the wind window, above and out in front of you. It's got all of the qualities of a great wave kite, but it goes beyond with its user-friendly features. |
|
Naish Slash
What we have say about the Naish Slash: The Naish Slash is a really fun ride. The leading edge bladder is tapered through the wingtip creating a small diameter for fast turning speed and crisp response. This kite is very active flying across the window in side-on conditions, providing incredible low-end power and the best down-the-line drift in the Naish line. The bar pressure is light to help fight fatigue and keep kiters on the water even longer. The Slash tends to build more power as it moves across the window. The Slash has a ton of usable range and a really responsive bar control with light bar pressure over a longer length of the throw. |

Naish
What we have to say about the Naish lineup: Naish really dialed in their surf board lineup this year. |

What we have to say about the D/Lab lineup: The holy grail of the Duotone surf lineup, these boards bring a whole new level of durability to some of the most impressive boards in the kitesurfing discipline. With the new already pristine design of the SLS boards, the D/Lab comes equipped with the RFM (Reflex Memory Foam) deck. Say goodbye to cracks and damage caused by heel dents. The RFM foam pushes out the heel dings like no other construction can, making this series likely the most advanced surfboard construction on the market. |
|
North
What we have to say about the North lineup: When talking about boards built to push limits, there's no conversation that doesn't include the North surf board lineup. The Comp is a strapless freestyle machine, light, responsive with a feeling of 0 gravity when airborne. The Cross bridges the gap with a playful shape that mixes both freestyle and wave capabilities. There's so much flight control in the sheeting range that even in moderate conditions you feel like a highly trained pilot. |
|

The Dash is a C-kite for the masses but with high performance freeride qualities. |
|
North Pulse
What we have say about the North Pulse: We were unable to get a ton of time on this kite in good winds, but from what we winds we did get I can tell you that the pulse will definitely have you pulse pumping. It is a very fast kite in both low and high winds. The power delivery is extremely comfortable and consistent. The kite has a tremendous amount of pop with adequate line slack to give anyone the confidence to excel in any level of their unhooked progression. The Pulse is the ultimate in performance freestyle. It will boost and mega loop with ease. |
|
Core GTS
What we have to say about the Core GTS: The Core GTS is an intermediate to advanced freeride kite. The GTS is pretty much the ultimate all-terrain performance twin-tip machine. The wider wingtips make kite looping a tad slower but super smooth. This makes the kite very consistent in the delivery of power all across the window. Bar pressure seems to be on the lighter side so you can do kite loops for days without coming off the water. The kite is extremely solid in the sky, feeling very supportive at all times and in all conditions. In all disciplines of freestyle riding, the GTS shines. |

|
Duotone Jaime SLS
What we have to say about the Fusion 5: When Duotone does it, they do it big. Freestyle is the name of the game for the Jaime. The textreme construction makes this board light and stiff. Twitchy responsiveness in the water and the channeling under foot allow you to put this board into the perfect position every time. The pop from this board is just rediculous, and the landings are really soft for a stiffer board. |
|
North Flare
What we have to say about the North Flare: A true wakestyle twin tip. The flare is smooth and stable. Built to take damage, the construction is a step above most of the other boards in the category. If you're looking for a board you can shred on kickers or boxes, this thing will take all the damage your progression requires. Park riders dream board. |
|
Naish Traverse
What we have to say about the Traverse: Probably the loosest and most "surfey" of the freestyle boards, this board is not just great in the park or flats, but in the waves and chop as well. A bit more rocker and taper than the other boards in this lineup make this board just as fun to carve as it is to hit obstacles with. A super fun and playful board. |
|
Slingshot Asylum
What we have to say about the Asylum: Agressive rocker, check. Carbon stringer for snappy pop, check. Aggressive channeling, check. This is Slingshots flagship freestyle, wakestyle, and parkstyle board. If you wanted the keys to the kingdom of freestyle riding, this board is the one. The UFO has good power delivery and surprisingly good relaunch. The UFO is not a beginner kite and is a good choice for the experienced Hydrofoiler looking for the lightest kite they can find. With the no strut design, the UFO also packs up smaller than anything else on the list and would make a great travel hydrofoiling kite. |
|
Naish Boxer
What we have say about the Naish Boxer: The Boxer is more focused on its low-end efficiency than top-end comfort. The light weight makes the Boxer relaunch in very little wind with ease. The precision and sheeting power is especially nice when sending the kite overhead during a tack or any transition manouver, it gives plenty of time time to move your feet and focus on the foil. This kite is quick, easy to control and generates power quickly. It has a light and lively feel at the fingertips. The Boxer is the ultimate kite for underpowered riding and foiling. |
|
Ozone Alpha
What we have to say about the Ozone Alpha:The Alpha is simple, incredibly lightweight and very effective. Great upwind performance due to the flat arc design, and an efficient high lift airfoil section. The lightweight design translates to incredible low-end performance. The power to de-power stroke is progressive and dynamic enough to provide smooth lift for transitions and jibes with a foil or surf board. The handling is direct and responsive which allows you to put the kite where you need it. It has exceptional drift for wave riding. |

Slingshot Ghost
What we have to say about the Slingshot Ghost: The Ghost is the reigning shop favorite for hydrofoiling. It is one of the lightest single struts available and it performs very well. Crazyfly Infinity -
What we have to say about the Crazyfly Infinity: This is Crazyfly's first hydrofoil specific kite. Double struts close to the wing tips deliver reactive turning and easy relaunch at the weight of a single strut, while an strutless mid-section mimics the characteristics of a no strut kite. In our first experiences with the Infinity, we found this kite to be very stable and lofty. It has decent drift and responsiveness downwind, but it's pull and go power and lift allows it perform best as a freeride foil kite. |

What we have to say about the North lineup: Between the Sense and the Scoop, North has you covered. The sense is an awesome entry level foil board that is spectacular to travel with. The beveled twin tip contstruction and upturned nose makes takeoff easy. Then there's the scoop and scoop mini. This highly responsive board has a concave deck that gives you total control, and the construction is stiff, responsive and will have you nailing your turns and tricks. |
